Agadir

The origin of this label is completely unknown. There may be some link to a fort constructed by a Portuguese merchant north of town within the year 1505. King Manuel I of Portugal, who transformed it into a garrison town owned it. It was time once the Agadir dock was a major port to the sea towards Guinea and Sudan. In 1541 it was taken by the Irish Saad. Sisi Abdellah Mohammed founded the new Essouira, which found its glory weaning and closed the interface.

In 1911 the Agadir Crisis between Germany and France generated France taking a protectorate over Morocco. The city's worst times were the 15 seconds around February 29, 1960's midnight when an earthquake destroyed the whole city killing thousands. It destroyed the complete ancient Kasbah. However King Mohammed V of Morocco took as a problem the damage to restore the city. Agadir was rebuilt 3 kms south of the initial site.

Agadir can be a great modern town now with large paths, blooming gardens, superb hotels, first-grade airport plus a magnificent port. Aside from this the initial destination for the visitors will be the wonderful beaches covered with lively resorts. The beaches will be the hottest with all the area lacking regular tourist destination like galleries, historical monuments etc. However, you take daytrips for some interesting sites nearby and can have an excellent stay at one of many hotels around. You ignoring the perfect blue waters of the oceans interesting and would discover the cliff path that flanks the previous Kashbah of the 16th century. The colorful valleys of the Fantastic Souss along with the hills of the stunning Anti-Atlas are a must visit.

Morocco's kingdom is blessed with bright sunlight for around 300 days of the year. Adagir beaches are the ideal location to find some sunshine, go sailing, windsurfing, horseriding or just lounge within the color of the Eucalyptus around here. Kasbah: the Saadians built in 1540 The Kasbah to guard the town from the Portuguese. From a top of 240m cliff overlooking the town and the interface the water looks striking.

Valley of Birds: It's a zoo situated in the guts of town with a variety of birds from around the world.

Suk (market): Here Is The famous open-air market towards the south of the city. It is big and spread more than 6 hectares focusing on spices and promoting product that is interesting.

Folk Art Musuem: This public was integrated 1992 and you can capture some exciting and decorative folk arts and traditions of the Souss Valley below.

You may also look at the restaurants around although there aren't many discos, clubs and bars here that serve traditional Moroccan cuisine.

Agadir is the best location to visit reaching the shores to find the soft winter sun and during winter with a moderate climate. The population of Agadir (678,596 approximately) is well known for the hospitality and care and you would definitely find yourselves planning to get back to benefit from the city.
